Our partner for instrumentation is SIOS Messtechnik, a company that develops and manufactures ultra-precise measurement instruments.

​

All instruments from SIOS are based on laser interferometric measurements. This technology is then applied to measure lengths, angles, weights, forces, pressures and vibrations.

​

Positions or movements can be resolved down to 0.1 nanometer, even for distances up to 5 meters. From such accurate position measurement, derived quantities like weight, force and pressure can be established with excellent resolution.

​

SIOS has also implemented this technology in a true state-of-the art 3D nano positioning and nano measuring machine. This flagship product can position and measure a sample of size 25 mm x 25 mm x 5 mm with a resolution of 0.1 mm.
